Three years after my last summit, I was once again back in the mountains. If it isn’t hard enough enduring the mental and physical challenges of a high-altitude, technical mountain, I figured I’d throw in the twist of attempting to summit and then ski off the top of Mt. Baker in northern Washington. 

I was feeling strong after logging some hikes above 10,000 feet, ready for my summit bid on the tallest mountain in the continental U.S.

Mom's 75th b-day coinciding with the 30-year anniversary of moving to the East Coast, was the perfect excuse to take Mom back to Washington!

An action-packed four days, all set up in a matter of weeks. Despite not being able to climb Mt. Baker, this was still my redemption climb.
